You can change the screen display modes by going to "Settings " → " Display & Brightness " → "View " → and selecting "Zoomed " setting.
Press the "Set " button at the top right corner.
Wait for the iOS device to reset the screen resolution and then restart HearingAmp. HearingAmp will work in the selected appearance.
A1 : Each person's sensitivity to different frequencies varies. As you use HearingAmp,
adjust the equalizer bands as necessary to produce a more comfortable listening experience.
EQ1 represents the lowest frequency band (deep, bassy sounds) and the bands scale up to EQ5 (higher-pitched sounds).
Note that HearingAmp is primarily intended to amplify the human voice, so music and other sound sources that produce
sound frequencies higher than voice will for the most part not be amplified in the same fashion.
A2 : Both the main volume control and the individual equalizer controls (EQ1-5)
amplify sound and can be used in concert for a greater increase in volume. If you find the volume control insufficient, adjust each equalizer band up as needed.
Be aware that too much gain (volume control + equalizer) can sometimes cause severe echo or ringing,
so adjust the equalizer gain slowly upwards until the overall volume is sufficient.
A3 : There are two ways to address noise with HearingAmp.
The first method is to directly filter out certain frequency bands using the equalizer controls EQ1-EQ5.
Noise often is only low frequency (fans, rumbling from a car or airplane engine)
or high frequency (fans, things scraping/rubbing against each other, etc).
Low frequency noise can be reduced by dropping the gain on equalizer bands 1 and 2 (EQ1 and EQ2).
You can use equalizer band 5 (EQ5) in the same way to filter out higher frequency noise.
In other situations, the noise comes from many different sources and cannot be classified as only high or low frequency.
Examples of this would be loud restaurants, busy public areas, concerts. In this case the Noise Mask control should be used.
Noise Mask acts as a sound cutoff - cutting out sound below a certain volume threshold.
The remaining sound (mostly from the sound sources closest to the microphone) can then be amplified with the volume and equalizer controls.
A4 : For normal conversations, your ear expects to have at least a small amount of background noise.
If the Noise Mask is tuned too high, conversations will sound unnatural due to the elimination of background noise when neither person is speaking
- as a result, the conversation will be choppy or irregular. If you find this to be the case, turn the Noise Mask control down until the conversation is more comfortable.
A5 : HearingAmp saves the volume previously used with each profile for your reference.
As a result, when you are scrolling through the profiles, volume control will have a shadow marking the volume level of that profile.
A6 : "Run in Background " allows HearingAmp to run even after you have switched to a different application.
After you start HearingAmp, select the profile or settings you like, turn on "Run in Background ",
then start a different application by pressing the iPhone/iPad 'home' button and choosing any other app you like.
HearingAmp will continue to run and you will hear amplified sound in your earphones.
To turn off HearingAmp, restart the app and turn the "Run in Background " control off, or just simply unplug the earphones.
A7 : Firstly, open "Settings "→"General "→"International "→select language
from "Language " and "Region Format ". Press the "Done " button at the top right corner.
Then, back to HearingAmp main page. At the top right corner, tap "Reset " →"Confirm " buttons. HearingAmp will work in the selected appearance.
A8 : No, it won’t. "Reset " will only affect default profiles.
It will reset "Volume ", "Noise Mask " and "EQ1~5 " to the factory preset values.
